President Donald Trump has announced that the Republican National Committee will hold its first-ever national convention during a midterm election year, with Dallas, Texas selected as the host city. The two-day event is scheduled for September 9–10, 2026, at the American Airlines Center and is designed to boost GOP voter turnout ahead of the November elections that will determine control of Congress.
